Substantial headwinds and impacts have continued to close New Jersey pharmacies. Walgreens is the latest to announce that a significant percentage of their stores will be closing, possibly impacting New Jersey seniors.
The retail pharmacy released their third-quarter results report and reported that they are “Finalizing significant multiyear footprint optimization program to close certain underperforming U.S. stores”. That possibly can impact locations in New Jersey. However, the company has not yet released which stores in New Jersey or the US it plans to close.
In case of a local retail pharmacy closure, it is always best to check with your health insurance carrier for drug store alternatives.
