A Union County resident recently collected a $1.5 million Jersey Cash 5 jackpot from the February 26 drawing. The winner, who lost their job in November, purchased the lucky ticket with quick-pick numbers 14, 20, 29, 30, and 45 at Rahway’s EZ Check Food Store.
““It’s so crazy. Let me tell you: God answers your prayers,” said the grateful winner who plans to spend the money wisely while continuing their job search.
This jackpot marks the 11th of 13 Jersey Cash 5 wins this year and the third to exceed $1 million, matching 2024’s pace which saw 75 winners including 13 millionaires.
